Focal’s expertise recognised by the French State!
Focal has been awarded the EPV label (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant or Living Heritage Company) by the French State in recognition of its excellence and industrial expertise.

The EPV label was created in August 2005 in order to add value to and promote the development of SMEs possessing “an economic heritage, consisting in particular of rare, renowned or ancestral skills which draw on a mastery of traditional or technically advanced techniques, and restricted to a particular geographical area”.
It is an opportunity for companies like Focal to confirm their contribution to France’s economic and cultural identity, and to be recognised nationally and internationally.
The EPV label is awarded by the French Ministry for SMEs, Trade, Crafts and Liberal Professions which manages communications aiming at increasing the audience and promoting the reputation of labelled companies. It enables them to benefit from a “creative” tax credit as well as an increased “apprenticeship” tax credit in order to help them conserve their know-how and continue to innovate.
Focal will benefit from the French Living Heritage Company status for 5 years (renewable) thanks to its undeniable expertise in designing and manufacturing speaker drivers and hi-fi loudspeakers, to the training of its employees as regards the company’s specific rare and technically advanced techniques, and to the numerous patents which demonstrate the company’s skills and investment in terms of innovation.
For more than 35 years, Focal is recognized has a world leader in the design and manufacturing of loudspeakers for the home, speaker drivers for the car but also monitoring speakers for recording studios and headphones.
